I am always drawn to stripes when they come in black and white. Why? It is because black and white to me is like ice cream. No matter what the occasion is, ice cream is always a good idea. So also is black and white, no matter what the occasion is, both colours just work. It is even more fun when the black and white in question is stripes because stripes actually look dressier than they really are.
I strongly believe that I am not the only one who feels black and white is like ice cream. What do you feel or how do you feel about black and white?
For my look today, I paired this black and white striped baggy blouse with a super fitted burgundy pant/trouser and finished my look with a cropped leather jacket and a vamp suede booties.
The look is easy and laid back which was what I wanted for the day and also perfect for a casual day out or the weekend. The colours also blend well because a pop of colour is always perfect with black and white.
The blouse is a regular round neck one but I decided to make it off the shoulder to show off my “beautiful brown shoulder”. Well, there is nothing wrong with that…LOL!
It is okay to call yourself beautiful because you are beautiful no matter what any one says.
Fashion TIP today!
The last time I shared TIPS about choosing the perfect leather jacket, one of my tip I mentioned was that you should ensure to choose your actual size; one that is not big on you or one that fits you perfectly. If you missed the article, check here.
When I first got this jacket, the fit was as if it was tight. It wasn’t though. If you take a look at the sleeve of the jacket in the picture below, you will notice that the sleeves was pushed up and it also looked creased. The reason why I could push the sleeves up easily is because the leather jacket is now softening up and stretching. I wasn’t able to do so when I first got it because it hasn’t experienced any stretch then.
The more you wear your leather jacket, the more stretch it will experience. Leather of any form will stretch be it shoes or a jacket like this. When they stretch,, they conform to your body/legs.
This one will eventually stretch even more and and will conform to my body.
So when choosing your leather jacket, ensure to choose one that is not too big so when it stretches, it doesn’t turn out too big.
Secondly, stripes can be tricky to wear especially on different body types. When stripes are vertical.i.e they go from up to down, they can easily make you look taller and when they are horizontal i.e it they go from side to side, they can make you look wider.
If you are wide or big already, go for vertical stripes to help you create the illusion of a longer silhouette. if you want to look wider, go for an horizontal one.
Stripes whether black and white or in any other colour looks dressier than it really is and it is one of the reasons why I love wearing them. Do you like stripes too? Please share your response with me.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I am always happy to see you drop by.

The pant is a gorgeous color. The fit, so figure flattering. The overall look is stylish but my eye keeps going back to the pant. Love it.
