Happy Sunday and happy INTERNATIONAL women’s day to you My Lovelies! Hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Today I bring you a styling of the dress that turned the whole world upside down last week.
For those of you who do not know what I am talking about, a lady posted the photo of a dress on Tumblr to ask for the colour and there was mixed answers. Some thought the dress was gold and white while some thought the dress was blue and black.
The response went on and on and before the owner of the dress knew it, people started using #thedress and everyone around the world got involved. How can a simple dress get a lot of press because people see differently. It’s crazy right?
The owner of the dress has since been to the Ellen Degeneres show to clarify the original colour of the dress, she even wore the dress to the show.
Scientists have also explained the theory behind why people were seeing the colours differently. I won’t go into that but I saw blue and black. If you knew about the dress, what did you see?
STYLING OF THE DRESS !
I styled the dress with a lovely belted trench coat, (the trench is so sleek ) and a pair of black heels with mesh detail which compliments the lace detail on the dress very well. I finished the look with a blue black clutch with fun details. And to add a pop of colour to the blue and black look, I added red lips and red nails. You can also sport this colour combination casually like I did here
Red and blue are both primary colours.
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I will see you tomorrow.
Please note that the styling is just a guide line, feel free to follow my lead or do whatever works for you.
You are beautiful, don’t let anyone tell you different.
Much Love, Mojisola.
