So last year for Valentines day, I shared my love story. It was the story of how I met my husband at a relatively young age and WHY I think no woman should ever be pressured to get married. You can read it in full HERE. I was really happy that a lot of you were kind enough to share your love story with me in that post. I say thank you again because I learnt a lot from your stories.
Today, I will not be sharing any more love stories but will be sharing love all the same.
Not sure you remember but I have also mentioned before on this blog that I am a very traditional woman. Even though I can buy my own things myself, I love my husband to buy me things? WHY? It makes me feel like a Queen being taken care of by a King. This is just me. I am also not the one who thinks one day is enough to celebrate love so I love love and I love to celebrate it everyday.
Although it is the season of love / Valentines, I encourage you to share love daily and not only on Valentines day. Share love, give love and be sure to receive love as well. Most importantly, be kind to yourself + love yourself.
So What is Love?
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails…….that is the definition of love according to Ist Conrinth. 13-4-8
Ist Conrinthians 13:13 then says: And now, these three remain: faith, hope and love; but the GREATEST of these is LOVE
Isn’t that amazing? Love is the greatest of all. Give love today and always and not only on Valentines day. May the Love of God fill our hearts and may He teach us to Love just as He loves us. Amen.
A few Look Books Perfect For Valentines Day
To see any of the look in full, please click on the image.
As you all know, I am a classic so even on date nights or Valentines day dinner or any other romantic day, I turn up classic. Here are some of my classy-chic look for Valentine:
Pants-Suit
To add a modern touch to your pants-suit, opt for a cut out cami or sequin for your Valentines day dinner. It is polished, it is chic and equally sexy without being over the top.
Roses are Red
Some say the colour of love is red, some say it is pink, I say love is a beautiful thing irrespective of colour.
Another look I love for Valentines day is this figure hugging red number….
Turn heads in your own gorgeous red dress. If you prefer pink, go for it 🙂
Serve Lemonade
Not a lot of people would wear Yellow on the Winter. Honestly, I would and there is no better way to turn up than to serve lemonade. This one is so chic. Have fun styling your own favourite colour.
Denim Chic
Denim goes any day and anytime too. If you love denim, go for it. Pair yours with heels and blazer for polish and sophistication. Have fun styling yours.
Palazzo
Nothing elongates the legs more than a wide leg pants. This was the look book I shared in my love story last year. Although the look was from last year, it is still very modern, fresh and perfect for this year’s Valentines day. This is another look I would highly recommend.
And for that Sister who loves to Show some legs, here you go:
I was wearing those skin coloured tights / pantyhose. You can click image to learn more about it.
And those are some look books I would suggest for Valentines day dinner. Have fun styling your own looks and be kind to one another.
I want to thank you so much for stopping by today and for reading.
Although I didn’t share any love story today, let’s chat in the comments below…….. tell me what does love and loving mean to you? Do you have someone special you love and who loves you in return, please share with me. Thank you.
Have a love filled Valentines day
As always, it is Much Love from me to you.

Hey hon, fab V looks, I’m torn between the red shift dress and white trousers suit…now back to your quesiont-what is love? That reminds me of the 90s Haddaway song, ‘What is love, what is love, baby dont hurt me no more…’ Erm, ok. So what is love? Well as Foreigner crooned, ‘I wanna know what love is, I want you to show meeeee….’, then there’s the famous line in Love Story, ‘Love means never having to say you’re sorry’. I don’t believe in that quote btw. Ok so that’s my input on love for the day. ( :
I like your take on love BiKi. WIshing you lots of love. 🙂
