VEST & AUTUMN COLOURS

The last time I wore this denim here, I mentioned that I will be wearing it a lot. Please don’t blame me, the denim is just so comfortable and soft. That is the thing about denims, once you find the perfect pair, you just can’t leg go. Do you feel that way too?

So the sun was shinning so bright a.k.a “Indian Summer” and I had blog photos to take for casual Friday so I thought why not spot this ripped denim again.

For my look today, I paired my denim with a “checkered” shirt and what we call “monkey jacket”. I finished my look with all brown accessories (shoes, earrings and sunglasses).

I figured different people call the “monkey jacket” different things. The American people call it vest while here in Ireland/Britain we call it waist jacket or waist coat. What do you call it in your country?

This jacket reminded me of the mother care one my mum sent to me when I had my first child. It was the one my brother wore on his 1st birthday I think. My mother kept it for more than 24 years and sent it to me when I had a baby. Weird you may say but I was happy to have it. The weird things mothers do right ?

This corduroy vest/jacket is a lovely little piece. It is a lovely 70’s trend and I love it.  I love colour brown so much because it suits my skin tone. Brown is perfect for Autumn/Winter and mixing it with other Autumn colours like the red and yellow on my shirt was just the way to go.

Fashion TIP today !

From my look you will notice that my shirt is loose, if you like call it “baggy”. I do not like to wear baggy clothes because of my frame/physique/stature. To balance my proportions, I added the waist coat. I also choose one that is quiet small to accentuate my waist.

When you wear a loose or baggy blouse, you can simple balance your proportions with a vest/waistcoat. If you like, you can throw on a belt like I did here.
