THE RED TREND ::: WHAT TO WEAR TO YOUR CHRISTMAS PARTY

Aside the white boots which I spoke about in my last look book and styling TIPS, “the red trend” is another big one on the cat-walks for this season. Today, will be sharing with you all about the red trend. Let’s do this!

Outfit of the Day!

For my look today, I was wearing an old red dress I have had for a couple of years. I paired my fitted body con dress with an oversized coat and finished my look with a red pair of high heels. And voila, my outfit of the day.

I chose this look with holiday parties in mind. This kind of look can be worn to a classy christmas party, work or office christmas parties or dinner parties, this Christmas.

Styling TIP Today!

Like I mentioned above, the red trend is big for this season. I have seen so many celebrities and Bloggers wear all red from head to toe but in trousers-suit. So, there is no one way to wear an all red ensemble if you are up for it. Red is bold and bright and only the bold at heart can go all red.

The Meaning of Red!

Red is a colour of energy; when you wear red, you will feel confident and in control. It is also associated with the meaning of love, passion, desire, heat, sensitivity, sexuality, romance, joy, strength, will power, courage, determination, vibrance and radiance to mention a few.

The red family has many under variations, from raspberry to tomato, so getting the undertone right is crucial. Is it warm(yellow-based) or cool (blue based)?

Wearing red brings excitement into your day. It is the colour of stimulation, showing a sense of exhilaration but also suggesting a demanding character.

When your energy level is down during the week, wear read, it is an energy buster.
