Apart from red, green is one of my favourite colours to wear at Xmas. Green works well on all skin tone. For this look, I kept it really easy and simple with a little leg on display. I wanted a look that would be perfect for an elegant Xmas party where you can have wine and listen to great music. I love the piano setting for the photo shot, it is beautiful. See my Xmas look book perfect for dinner and dance here. See my look book featuring 5 dresses for parties here.
To accessories the look, I wore a nude pair of heels and a jeweled belt with a nude background. Nude heels are one of my favourite colour of shoes to wear , they elongate the legs. You can read more about why I love them here and why you too should. Having said that, a nude or gold pair of sandals would work well with this look and if your party is an outdoor one where there’s cold, throw on a cropped FUR coat.
We had problems with light taking this photos but I must commend Claire for her professionalism. She got every thing under control adjusting the camera and lights from time to time and extremely patient.
I love the belt detail, it added a nice jeweled touch to the simple look. A detailed belt like this can make a simple look dressy. One of my favourite thing to do in styling is to wear belts. It balances out my silhouette. Everybody should have at least one belt in their closet.
